Our Story
Swan’s story began in 1954, when two Melbourne accountants, Jeffrey Gedye and Leonard Stewart, started supplying local plumbers from their Burnley office.
In 1955, Keith Weir, a successful sales representative with McPhersons Ltd, joined as a partner. Together, they purchased Trio Hardware and moved to 419 Swan Street, Burnley — the birthplace of “Swan Hardware.”
From those humble beginnings, Swan has grown into one of Australia’s most trusted, service-driven suppliers — still Australian family-owned, still reliable, and still committed to Excellent Service!
